Boris Tkachenko completed advanced training in mentoring delivered by the leading expert Professor Bob Garvey on April 5-7 at York St John Business School

Boris Tkachenko, CEO, Mentoring Institute, completed advanced training in mentoring delivered by the leading expert Professor Bob Garvey on April 5-7 at York St John Business School. Bob Garvey, researcher and entrepreneur (and YBI external consultant on mentoring) lectures on mentoring and coaching, published 10 books on mentoring and acts as mentor himself. The advanced training was awarded to YBR at internal YBI competition and in recognition of YBR contribution in mentoring development in Russia and Boris Tkachenko’s personal involvement in mentoring promotion in the framework of YBI.

Bob Garvey’s seminar was also attended by Hoang-Anh ThiLe, mentoring manager at YBI and John Cull, YBI’s mentoring consultant and founder of mentoring programme at YBI, who trained Boris Tkachenko in mentoring in 2008. The items covered at the seminar included experience in providing mentoring for budding entrepreneurs in the frame of YBR and as part of projects for existing and social entrepreneurs, mentoring development potential, approaches, instruments and techniques essential both for experts and coordinators, and mentors and mentees.

After the advanced training has been completed, it was agreed that Bob Garvey will be Boris’ mentor and presented Boris with his new book.
